BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Jan. 2, 2018) – The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team opens its Conference USA home schedule this weekend with games against UAB and Middle Tennessee.

Men's Hoops Overrun by UAB 79-59
A late second half run proved too much for the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team to overcome in a 79-59 loss to UAB on Thursday. Adonis Filer led the Owls with 15 points, while Ronald Delph added 12.

Owls Sacked by Blue Raiders 93-59
For the second game in a row, a second half surge was the difference as the Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team lost to Middle Tennessee 93-59 on Saturday.

 

Last Week: FAU (6-7, 0-1 C-USA) lost its conference opener, falling to rival FIU 58-57 on Saturday despite 12 points each from Ronald Delph, Jailyn Ingram and Gerdarius Troutman. William Pfister had a career high 16 rebounds in the contest.    

 

History: The Blazers (9-5, 0-1) have won six of the eight all-time meetings with FAU. UAB is currently on a four game winning streak against the Owls. Middle Tennessee (9-4, 1-0) has won 11 in a row over FAU and holds a 16-4 lead in the all-time series.

 

Coverage: Tip-off for Thursday is set for 7 p.m., while Saturday’s tilt will start at 5 p.m. ESPN 106.3 will broadcast both contests.
