WASHINGTON D.C. - Kore White had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the Owls in both categories, but the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team lost to American on Wednesday night.

A slow start had FAU trailing American 9-4 more than 10 minutes into the game. The Owls (1-3) eventually found their rhythm and took a 18-16 lead late in the first half.
