HAMMOND, LA - Southeastern Louisiana had five different players in double figures on its way to a 90-77 victory over Florida Atlantic on Monday night.
The Lions got out to a fast start shooting 58 percent from the field, including 7-of-11 (63.6 percent) from three-point land on their way to a 51-27 halftime lead. FAU had a 27-14 run to cut the lead to as little as 11 in the second half, but could not get any closer. 19 second half points from both Shavar Richardson and Raymond Taylor powered the rally.
Brett Royster had five blocks to surpass Cedric Peoples as FAU's career blocked shots leader.
FAU will continue their four-game road trip on Saturday when they travel to Washington D.C. to take on American University. The game is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
