SEATTLE, WA - Alex Tucker had 12 points and 10 assists in Florida Atlantic's 84-77 victory over Georgia State as part of the World Vision Classic on Monday.

The Owls (1-2) had a torrid start to the game from three-point range, making their first six shots from beyond the arc, finishing the first half 11-of-15 from the perimeter. Georgia State (0-3) was only down 11 at the break, due to a 20-4 points in the paint advantage and outrebounding FAU by eight.

FAU was unable to shake the Panthers and led by only four with 28 seconds remaining, but Alex Tucker and Shavar Richardson both sank a pair of free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Greg Gantt scored 17 to lead the Owls for the third straight game. He was joined by Tucker, Omari Grier (15) and Kore White in double figures. White scored all 10 of his points after halftime.

The Owls will now travel to Washington D.C. to play American on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet-MidAtlantic.
