MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - (March 4, 2017) – For the second game in a row, a second half surge was the difference as the Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team lost to Middle Tennessee 93-59 on Saturday.
The Turning Point
William Pfister hit a jumper to cut the deficit to four, 44-40, just over a minute into the second half. Middle Tennessee went on a 23-4 to take a 67-43 lead. The advantage remained at least 19 for the rest of the game.
- Jeantal Cylla was the only Owl in double figures with 14 points.
- Nick Rutherford had nine points.
- Gerdarius Troutman scored eight points, grabbed a team high five rebounds and dished out three assists.
- The Owls will be the no. 11 seed in the upcoming Conference USA Tournament.
