NASHVILLE Tenn. - The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team put four players in double figures as the Owls dropped their third consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference outing 88-71 at Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon.
Carlos Monroe made his first career start and netted 12 points, and Rodney Webb had 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks. David Anderson added six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals in his first start at FAU.
FAU shot 47.1% from the field and hit 9-of-17 from three-point range. The Owls collected a season-high five blocks.
Lipscomb (13-6, 9-2 A-Sun), winner of seven straight, showed why it is the hottest team in the conference, connecting on 11-of-20 three-pointers and shooting 51.8%. Brian Fisk, who scored 22 points in a 66-50 win at FAU this past Tuesday, scored 28 points in round two against the Owls.
