DENTON, TX - The short-staffed Florida Atlantic Owls rallied from a nine-point deficit before eventually losing to North Texas 69-60 at the Super Pit in Denton.

Florida Atlantic (4-15; 0-7 Sun Belt) had tied the game with 9:51 remaining on a Carderro Nwoji triple but North Texas responded with a 10-0 run to assure the Mean Green of its third-straight win.

Eric Tramiel scored a game-high 19 for North Texas (11-7; 4-3 Sun Belt). Tramiel scored 14 in the first half and cleared a career-high 13 rebounds.

Already missing all-conference forward Carlos Monroe, FAU played without senior guard and leading scorer Paul Graham III who was a late scratch from the starting lineup.
