About Smart: A point guard who begins his second and final season with the Owls...came to FAU after two seasons at Seward County Community College in Wichita, KS.

Junior (`00-`01): Played in 31 games and started 26...averaged 5.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and led the Owls with 3.9 assists...ended up one assist shy of tying the school record for assists in a season...averaged 29.7 minutes per game...led FAU with a .389 three-point field goal percentage...scored in double-figures five times and had at least six assists on seven different occasions...had at least one trey in all but 10 games...scored a career-high 14 points on January 11 at Georgia State...had a career-high nine assists on December 2 at Troy State and January 8 against Jacksonville State...had eight points, nine assists, and five rebounds on January 8 against Jacksonville State.

Junior College:Attended Seward County Community College in Liberal, KS...led team to a two-year mark of 45-19...led team in steals and advanced to Region VI semifinals during his freshman finished second in the Jayhawk Conference in his sophomore season...won the W.A. Shufelberger Award for highest GPA among male student athletes...played for coach Dave Brown.
