Jorge Sanz joined the Florida Atlantic University Men's Basketball staff in the Fall of 2010, while pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
As Director of Basketball Operations, Sanz is responsible for multiple behind-the-scenes duties, such as supervising film exchange and edition, planning travel needs, organizing student-managers' responsibilities and overseeing the team's academic progress, among others. His strong analytical skills will provide the coaching staff with valuable technical support during the season.
As a manager for the Owls during the 2010-11 Sun Belt championship season, Sanz was responsible for coordinating film exchange and creating player development edits, as well as assisting on play and personnel edits and coordinating the taping of games, practices and individual instruction. He also created travel itineraries, managed pre & post game meals and was in charge of booking and organizing travel needs, before graduating Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 2011.
Sanz was also a key part in managing and coordinating the latest edition of Mike Jarvis Team Camp, which took place from June 10-12th, 2011, gathered 48 High School teams and more than 150 games were played over that weekend.
Sanz spent his playing days with the youth team of C.B. Zaragoza, in Spain, with a brief stint in the US for his senior year of High School, when he started for the McKeesport Tigers in McKeesport, PA.
Prior coming to the United States on the summer of 2010, he developed his career in the corporate field as the Marketing Manager for a worldwide-leading company for more than 4 years, until he made the decision of pursuing his dream of becoming a college basketball Head Coach.
A native of Zaragoza, Spain, Sanz and his wife, Franchesca, currently reside in Davie, Florida.
