Cody Cohen joined Florida Atlantic's men's basketball program as a graduate assistant in May of 2014. While Cohen, a recent FAU graduate, is part of the newly hired staff he garners invaluable experience as a former student and team manager.
Cohen joined the Owls as an undergraduate student manager in the Fall of 2010. He served in that role until the completion of his bachelor's degree in communication studies and a minor in sociology. Cohen balanced his course work, graduating Cum Laude in May 2014, his team work schedule and his work in the FAU media relations department, where he volunteered in 2013-14.
As a student manager, Cohen experienced the Owls title run as Sun Belt Conference Regular-Season Champions and NIT appearance, the first in the program's history. In the fall of 2012, he was promoted to head student manager where he was responsible for the organization of all student managers and assignments. His responsibilities also included coordinating team travel, assisting with on-court drills and skill work as well as shadowing the director of basketball operations on a daily basis.
Cohen's graduate work will continue to focus in the communication field.
