Baseball Posts 28 Runs in Win Over Ontario Blue Jays

BOCA RATON, Fla.- The Florida Atlantic University baseball team put on a hitting display Wednesday night as the Owls scored 28 runs on 24 hits against the Ontario Blue Jays at the FAU Baseball Stadium.

The Owls posted ten runs in the fourth inning, seven in the fifth and eight in the seventh en route to the 28-1 rout. Freshman Sean Labsan went 4-of-6 with two home runs, a double, seven RBI and three runs scored.

FAU earned seven extra-base hits, with Brendon Sanger, Cain Spangler, CJ Chatham and Jose Bonilla recording doubles in the fall contest. Mitch Morales went 4-of-6 with an RBI and a run scored while Chatham was 2-for-3 with a run.

Junior pitcher John Sebelle earned the victory, striking out one and allowing one hit in his lone inning of work. Drew Jackson and Brett Maggard each struck out a pair, working one inning each.
