Owls played in intrasquad scrimmage

Sept. 30, 2013

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University baseball team opened its fall practice schedule on Monday as the Owls held an intrasquad scrimmage at the FAU Baseball Stadium.

"It's always exciting to start fall practice," FAU Head Coach John McCormack said. "We've been with the guys for about a month now doing individual and skill work. Now it's time to bring it all together."

The 2013 Sun Belt Conference Champions will look to take on new challengers in their first season as a member of Conference USA.

"Everybody knows how good we are and what we've accomplished," McCormack said. "We're looking forward to the new challenges, new cities and new programs."

The Owls will begin their 2014 season in mid-February. Check in the coming days for a full schedule.
