Kerr was named to both the All-Freshman Team and the All-Conference Second Team in his first season in collegiate baseball. Sanger, who led the Owls in batting average for the second consecutive year, was also named Second Team All-Conference. Both players ranked in the top 10 in Conference USA in both batting average and on-base percentage.
Kerr, a freshman from Margate, hit an impressive .324 with a team-high 38 runs and 10 stolen bases. He drew 21 walks while striking out just 16 times in 207 at-bats. Kerr's 24 extra-base hits led the team, as did his six games with three hits. His 17 game reached-base streak was the longest of any Owl over the season. Kerr started every game at either shortstop or second base.
Sanger, a sophomore from Fort Myers, led FAU with a .332 batting average and led Conference USA in both walks with 35 and on-base percentage at .439. He amassed 20 multiple-hit games and tied for the team lead with three three-RBI outings. His 11-game hitting streak was the second longest on the squad. Sanger was one of five Owls to start every game, making 52 starts in right field and one as a designated hitter.
