Mickey Storey got promoted to the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday

Boca Raton, Fla. - Former Florida Atlantic University pitcher Mickey Storey is once again playing in the major leagues after being called up to the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday. The 2008 graduate made his big-league debut last season with the Houston Astros.

The right hander went 0-1 with a 3.86 earned run average in 26 games with the Astros.

Storey concluded his FAU career ranking second in program history with 292 strikeouts, and is tied for second with 23 career pitching victories. He threw the program's last no-hitter in 2006 against Campbell University after being named the 2005 National Freshman of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.
