A season best six-game winning streak has the Florida Atlantic University baseball team ranked for the first time this season by two national polls. The Owls are ranked 25th by Baseball America and received a No. 30 ranking by Collegiate Baseball in polls released on Monday, April 1.

FAU stands 19-9 on the season and is tied atop the Sun Belt Conference standings with a 7-2 record. The ranking marks the second consecutive season the team has received a ranking by Collegiate Baseball.

The team completed a three-game sweep of University of South Alabama with a 3-0 win on Sunday, March 31. Junior pitcher Jeremy Strawn tossed a complete-game shutout in the contest against the previously nationally ranked opponent.

The Owls defeated the University of Miami 6-1 on Wednesday, March 27 in Coral Gables to begin the unbeaten week.

FAU host Lynn University on Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the FAU Baseball Stadium, 777 Glades Road on the Boca Raton campus. Live audio and statistics of the game will be available at www.fausports.com.
