Boca Raton, FL - Season tickets are now on sale for what promises to be exciting spring seasons for Florida Atlantic University's baseball and softball teams. The baseball team is ranked in preseason national polls after winning its first Sun Belt Conference championship and advancing to the championship game of last year's NCAA Gainesville Regional, while the softball squad will be hosting several of the nation's premiere teams.
The baseball season ticket package will allow fans to attend the Owls' game against No. 2-ranked University of Florida at Jupiter's Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday, February 22. Coach John McCormack's team has 34 home games on this year's schedule, beginning with a three-game series with Hofstra University from Friday, Feb. 18 through Sunday, February 20, and an early-season showdown with national power University of Miami on Wednesday, February 23 that begins a 13-stretch of home games. Home conference series on the schedule will feature rival FIU from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20; Middle Tennessee State University from Friday, March 25 through Sunday, 27; University of Louisiana-Monroe from Friday, April 15 through Sunday, April 17; Troy University from Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1; and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock from Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15.
The softball season ticket package will feature 33 home games, beginning with a contest against the University of Michigan on Friday, February 18. Other opponents coming to face the Owls on the softball diamond in Boca Raton this spring include Penn State on Saturday, February 19; Michigan State University on Tuesday, March 8; Purdue University on Monday, March 14; and Oklahoma State University on Friday, March 18. Home conference series feature ULM on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3; the University of North Texas on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10; the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24; and rival FIU on Wednesday, April 20 and Sunday, May 7.
