Tyler Frank of Baseball Earns Another Preseason All-American Nod
Jan. 9, 2018

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Another national publication has bestowed Preseason All-American honors to Florida Atlantic University baseball’s Tyler Frank, as the soon-to-be junior shortstop was selected by Perfect Game/Rawlings to their Third Team on Tuesday.

Frank was chosen last month as a Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball, and coming off of a First Team All-Conference USA nod last season, will be a prime candidate for preseason league honors when they are soon released as well.

Just as it was with Collegiate Baseball, two other Conference USA players were recognized Tuesday by Perfect Game, as teammates from Southern Miss were honored: relief pitcher Nick Sandlin (First Team) and Matt Wallner as utility (Second Team).

FAU will begin practice in 17 days, on Friday, Jan. 26, with Opening Night three weeks following that. The Owls will host George Washington on Friday, Feb. 16 at FAU Baseball Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
