Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University baseball team's regular-season finale was cancelled due to rain in the Boca Raton area on Saturday. With the rainout, the Owls capture the outright Sun Belt Conference title with a 19-9 league record.

FAU will be the No. 1 seed at next week's conference tournament in Bowling Green, Kentucky from Wednesday, May 23 through Sunday, May 27. The game times and opponents will be announced on Sunday.

The Owls stand 31-20 on the season and won the regular-season title for the second time in three years with a 4-3 comeback win over FIU on May 18. Junior outfielder Corey Keller hit a walk-off single to cap off the three-run ninth inning. Senior outfielder Alex Hudak's game-tying two-run double evened the game at three.

Despite the rainout, the program still honored seniors Mike Albaladejo, Ahmed Garcia, Ryan Garton, Josh Gonzaga, Alex Hudak , Mike Tomasi and student manager Andy Poole.
