Final Stats

Orlando, FL - The Owls now stand 24-14 on the season. Much like a victory three weeks ago in Boca Raton, UCF (31-8) scored four runs in the first inning and built a 9-1 lead with two runs in the fourth inning.

Junior catcher Mike Spano and senior infielder Mike Albaladejo each tallied two hits to pace FAU's offensive attack. Albaldejo lined a double in the fifth inning.

Senior reliever Ahmed Garcia tossed two scoreless innings to highlight the pitching performance.

UCF's JoMarcos Woods went 3-for-4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored to set the tone for a 17-hit offensive attack. Travis Shreve, Nick Carrillo and D.J. Hicks also had multiple-hit efforts.

Eric Skoglund struck out seven batters in five innings to pick up the victory in the starting assignment.

FAU returns to the diamond on Friday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. to begin a weekend home series against Arkansas State University. The Owls, 12-3 in league play, lead the Sun Belt Conference by two games over the Red Wolves.
