NASHVILLE, TN -- Despite leaving the bases loaded in the first two innings, no. 22 Florida Atlantic University (29-6, 12-0 A-Sun) defeated Belmont University, 13-2, in the final game of a three-game series Saturday in Nashville, TN. The win also extended FAU's winning streak to 22 games.

FAU posted four multiple run innings to jump up on the Bruins. FAU scored three in the second inning and fourth before scoring four in the sixth to take a 10-2 lead. After Rusty Brown and Robert Orton walked Gabe Somarriba singled in the first run of the contest. After Alex Renes loaded the bases Mike Cox connected on a single to left center to post two RBI.
