2001 Season: Red-shirted due to a shoulder injury. Did pitch 2.1 innings earning two strikeouts.

Draft `00: Drafted by the Texas Rangers, 13th round.

JUCO (`99-`00): Played for Tim Hill at Manatee Community College. Named Pre-Season All-Conference, First Team All-Conference, Pitcher-of-the-Year as well as First Team All-State. Named the no. 3 JUCO prospect by Baseball America. Named to the Junior College All-Star Team, which competed in Japan. Led his team in strikeouts and wins.

Summer League (`99): Member of the AABC National Champions. Won Pitcher-of-the-Year. Also played for American Legion Post 24, a team he led in wins and strikeouts.

High School: Played for Scott Taylor at Manatee High School. Graduated in the top 10% of his class. Athletically he was named Pitcher-of-the-Year (`98). Set the school's single season home run record. Named to the 6A Honorable Mention All- State team as a senior. Pitcher-of-the-Year for the state runner- up Legion team. Also named First Team All-County. Two-sport athlete: baseball and basketball.
