At the time it was the longest outing by an FAU pitcher in 2008 and the longest an opposing starter had lasted against a Miami team that was hitting .343 as a team and went on to be the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament at season's end... The win was a historic one for FAU, having never beaten a No. 1 opponent in its Division I era in any sport...Went eight complete innings in his next start, striking out a career-high 10 without allowing a walk in a winning-effort at NYIT (4/19)... Pitched FAU to victory in a do-or-die game at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, defeating Middle Tennessee St. (5/22)...
