Summer League (`01): Was a starting pitcher for the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaskan League. Held opponents to a .221 average and finished with a 2.89 ERA. In 56 innings or work, struck out 27 while only walking 20.
As a Junior (`01): One of four pitchers to finish the season undefeated (2-0). Got his first win at FAU against Bethune-Cookman (2/23). Second win came againt A-Sun opponent Campbell where he only needed 1 1/3 innings to pick up the victory. Entered the game in the eighth with the Blue Wave trailing 13-10 to get the last out of the inning. FAU's offense came alive to get the needed runs to go ahead 14-13 and Lopez finished the game with a ground-out and two fly balls. In his longest outing of the season, six innings, recorded a season-high 5 K's in the A-Sun Tournament against UCF.

Draft (`98): Drafted by the Chicago White Sox, 29th round.
High School: Played for Mike Silvestri at Monsignor Pace High School. As a senior named first team all-conference, first team all-state. Was also named to the Florida Select Team. Played in the Florida All-Star Game.
