Junior (2011): Started the year in the starting rotation before being moved into a role as a long reliever...had two starts in his 22 mound appearances...tallied a 4-3 record and two saves...tossed the most innings from team's relief unit (45.2)...made first start of the season against nationally ranked Florida at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter (2/22)...other start came against Stony Brook (2/27)...had five shutout innings to pick up win in relief against Monmouth (3/6)...recorded first career win with three shutout innings in season-opening victory against Hofstra (2/18)...also earned wins over Lynn (3/2) and Middle Tennessee State (3/25) of Sun Belt Conference...struck out a season-high three batters against Monmouth and South Alabama (3/10)...helped secure victories with a save against Seton Hall (3/12) and South Alabama (3/9).
Broward Community College (2010): Played one season for Head Coach Bob Detchmen...was a second team all-conference selection...appeared in 11 games and went 4-4 with a 3.25 ERA...struck out 31 batters and allowed only 11 walks in 61 innings.
East Tennessee State (2009): Spent one season on team's roster, but did not appear in a game.
High School: Played at Flanagan High School for Head Coach Ray Evans.
Personal: Criminal justice major...son of Gerardo and Holly Gonzaga...father was a professional jai alai player...enjoys playing golf during his free time.
