Esteban Puerta: 2-for-4, home run, double, four RBI
Owls play FA&M vs. UF loser Saturday
-Drafted in the 39th round by the Kansas City Royals
-Played in 41 games and earned starting slot in 18 contests
-Hit .329 with three doubles and team-high four triples
-Drove in eight runs and scored 20 and was 6-of-7 on stolen base attempts
-Hit two triples and a double at UAB on May 2
-Made 45 starts and played in 50 games in the outfield
-Hit .255 with 12 RBI and 19 runs scored
-Had six doubles and hit a home run against St. John's on Feb. 28 as part of a 3-for-3, 3 RBI game
-Had eight game hitting streak to start March
-Also recorded multiple RBI at FIU on April 19.
-Held a perfect fielding percentage in his five starts and 26 appearances
-Had a .556 batting average in the leadoff position
-Had one RBI and scored twice in the 6-5 victory over West Virginia (3/3)
-Hit 2-3 in FAU's 7-6 win over Lynn (4/6).
-Earned 2011 Perfect Game Underclassmen Honorable Mention All-American honors at Tampa Catholic High School
-Played for Head Coach Ty Griffin
-Posted a .438 batting average with 22 stolen bases, two home runs and seven doubles as a senior
-Played for the FTB Team Mizuno Louisville Slugger team and had a .534 batting average with 39 runs batted in and 19 doubles
-Also legged out six triples and 24 stolen bases
-Earned Preseason Under Armor All-American honors and Dunedin All-Tournament team honors.
