Danielle Aromashodu took fourth-place in the 400 meter hurdles

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University's track team competed at the University of Florida's Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Saturday, April 20. The team took six top-10 finishes at the meet including Danielle Aromashodu's fourth-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles.
Aromashodu's finish in the 400 meter hurdles at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational continues to be the top ranked time for the Sun Belt Conference. The junior finished fourth with a time of 59.43. Lauren Walton took ninth place for the event with 1:02.44.
Annalisa Myers and Tanisha Coppin finished the 400 meters in seventh and ninth place, respectively. Myers ran the event in 56.59 while Coppin finished in 57.50. Coppin also ran the 200 meters for her first time, finishing in 25.94.
Joelle Etienne took ninth place in the long jump and set a new personal record of 5.54 meters. Freshman Ronja Siekmannrounded out Florida Atlantic's top-10 finishers taking sixth place in the javelin throw with 35.5 meters.
FAU's runners Stacy Paton and Meghan Jennerjahn set personal records at the invitational. Paton finished the 1500 meters in 13th place with a final time of 4:43.60 while Meghan Jennerjahn took 21st, finishing in 5:05.81.
Florida Atlantic will compete in their last meet of outdoor track season at the Penn Relays on April 25-27 before traveling to the Sun Belt Championships in Miramar, Florida on May 10.
