Vidal Sets New Record on First Day of Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Michael Vidal became the first Owl to win an event at the Florida Relays on Friday, April 4th, crossing the finish line first in the men’s 1500 meter run in 3:45.50. Vidal’s final time set a new school record and beat the current top ranking in Conference USA. Also competing at the Florida Relays on behalf of Florida Atlantic University’s men’s cross country team is Josh Peterson who finished the men’s 5k in 15:28.84 for 36th-place. The junior shaved two seconds off of his previous personal record and is now ranked fourth on FAU’s all-time records list.
