JACKSONVILLE, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's cross country team competed in UNF's Spring Break Invitational over the weekend. Michael Vidal and Ryan Davis both broke school records in the outdoor 5k and 10k respectively.

Sophomore Vidal finished the 5k in 14:56.48, less than three seconds behind the second-place finisher. Previously holding the second-place all-time record for Florida Atlantic with 15:18.18, Vidal's time at UNF beat out the record time placed in 2009.

Davis' performance in the 10k was the top finish for the Owls over the weekend. The senior's first place finish, with 32:51.46, also broke FAU's previous record set in 2011 by Jordan Dopkins (33:44.96).

The outdoor track season will continue on March 15 at UM's Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Florida.
