Chloe Sell and Michael Vidal were the team's top finishers taking first-place in the 5k and 1,500 meter, respectively.
Junior: Made her FAU debut at the season-opening Jimmy Carnes Invitational, finishing fourth in the 5,000 meter run in a time of 18:36.61...competed in her first 3,000 meter event at the Gator Invitational, running a 10:44.87, good enough for 12th...her first 5,000 meter race was at the BU Valentine Invitational (18:34.66)...lowered that time by more than 17 seconds to finish 14th at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships, at 18:17.61...switched to the 800 meter run at the outdoor UCF Invitational and ran a 2:25.24...also competed in the 1,500 meters there, finishing 15th at 4:54.43...improved to 2:22.33 in the 800 at the next meet, the UNF Invitational, and also competed in the 5,000 meters, at 18:39.84...was more than eight seconds better at the Florida Relays (18:31.70)...participated in the prestigious Penn Relays in the 5,000 meters, finishing 29th at 18:31.62...was 14th in that event at the SBC Outdoor Championships (18:35.43).
Previous college: Ran for coach John Bergen at the University of West Florida...was two-time team captain and won the UWF Scholar-Athlete Award in 2011...was named all-GSC second team and member of the GSC Fall All-Academic team and honor roll...won the team's most improved runner award her first year.
High School: Ran for coach Bonnie Galdys.
Personal: Criminal justice major with a minor in accounting...daughter of Gary and Faith Paton...hopes to someday work for a government agency dealing with criminal investigations...enjoys baking, cooking and traveling to anywhere and everywhere.
