HOOVER, AL - Friederike Feil set a school record in the women's 6K at the NCAA South Regional on Saturday.
Feil's time of 20:38.44 in the 6K broke the old school record by more than 65 seconds and was good for a 18th place finish.
Rebecca Hallam, who finished 37th in 21:14.04, also broke the old school record. Lisa Leutner placed 74th in 22:06.57, she was followed by Lindsay Lucas in 84th place, with a time of 22:14.93. Katie Quick completed the scoring for FAU, completing the course in 23:34.95.
Feil's 18th place finish is the best ever individual finish for an FAU runner at Regionals and the team's 13th place finish ties for the best team finish in school history.
"Between our second place finish at conference, and our 13th place finish here at Regionals, this is our best cross country season ever," head cross country coach Alex Smolka said.
