Cross Country Teams Fares Well in Pre-Conference Meet at UCF

Orlando, FL - The Florida Atlantic University cross country teams finished strong in the UCF Black and Gold Challenge on Friday. The women's team earned an eighth-place finish while the men's squad finished fifth overall.
Lindsay Lucas led the women's team with a 26th-place finish overall (24:06.64). Helen Mann was close behind with a 28th place showing in 24:12.09. Also running was Tara Cripe (24:43.14), Rebecca Fanali (25:05.53), Chelsea Conner (25:43.00), and Candice Patrick who trailed right behind at 58th place (25:45.18). Chelsea Letteiero rounded out the Owls performers, coming in 74th place overall (26:46.80).
On the men's side, Michael Vidal anchored the team with an eight-place finish in 25:56.28. His time was lower than last weekend's meet when he finished second on the team. Josh Wolfe earned a 26th-place finish overall (27:20.31) followed by Neil Coffman in 33rd place (27:59.78). Soon after, Adam Simon crossed the finish line with a time of 28:23.43 followed closely by Julian Gomez (28:27.98). Mohammad Razib finished 47th and Hunter Taylor rounded out the individuals in 52nd place (29:36.56).
