Women's Cross Country Places Second, Men Finish Fifth
Michelle Jax Leads Owls and Finishes First Overall
Sophomore (2010 Indoor Track) Finished 20th in the mile in 5:34.59 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, also placed 14th in the 3,000 meters at that meet.
(2010 Outdoor Track) Ran a 5:05.52 in the 1,500 meters at the Hurricane Invitational, finished 8th in the 5,000 meters in a time of 19:09.78 at that same meet...placed 12th in the 1,500 meters at the UCF Invitational in 4:57.59...finished 13th in the 1,500 meters at Sun Belt Outdoors in 4:53.94...completed the 5,000 meters at the Sun Belt Outdoors in 19:41.44, to place 26th.
Freshman: (2008 Cross Country): Won the collegiate women's 5K at the Greentree Invitational in 19:11.86...set a personal record in the 5K at the Gator Invitational, finishing 14th in 18:41.45...finished 11th in the 5K at the FSU Invite in 18:36.58...placed 94th in the Auburn Invitational 5K in 18:28.75...ran a 19:52 in the 5K at the Hatter Invitational...placed 39th in the Sun Belt Championships in 20:37.05.
(2009 Indoor Track) Completed the mile in 5:42.95 at the Dempsey Indoor.
(2009 Outdoor Track) Ran a 5:01.45 in the 1,500 meters at the FAU Twilight Invitational...placed 2nd in the 3,000 meters in 10:49.44 at that same meet...finished 4th in the 5,000 meters at the Hurricane Invitational in 19:13.68...ran a 5:14.02 in the 1,500 meters at the UCF Invitational...also placed 4th in the 10,000 meters in 43:33.07 at that meet.
High School: Three-time member of the All-Broward County cross country team...finished 7th in state in the 1600 meters and 10th in the 3200 meters as a senior...team captain for the 4A team in the 2007 FACA All-Star race...holds three school records (5K,1600m, 3200m).
Personal: Exercise science major...born on November 19, 1989 in St. Francis, WI..daughter of Susan and James Lucas....has a younger brother, David.
