BOCA RATON, FL - Rising senior cross country senior Friederike Feil set the school record in the 3,000 meters at a meet in her native Germany over the weekend.

Feil's time of 9:52.77 was good for 11th place in the event and broke Claudia Beitel's previous record by nearly 10 seconds. It is Feil's fourth school record in either cross country or track.

"It's exciting that I was able to have such a strong performance and I `m looking forward to my final cross country season coming up in the fall," said Feil of her performance.
