Orlando, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's cross-country teams traveled to the U.S. Triathlon Center in Clermont, FL to compete against the University of Central Florida and Jacksonville University on Friday evening. Freshmen Trisha Doyle, Allison Wilcox and Jennifer Schwan finished second, third and tenth for the women while freshman Nick Jarriel finished eighth to lead the men's team for the third consecutive meet.

"Our young team ran this race extremely well," said head coach Alex Smolka. "This was definitely the most challenging and grinding course we will face all season."

Atlantic Sun Runner-of-the-Week Doyle finished the 5k course in 20:45 while Wilcox and Schwan finished in 21:01 and 22:01. Twin sister Ashley Wilcox finished 12th out of 37 runners, one minute behind Allison at 22:09.
