Orlando, Fla. - Outstanding performances by sophomore Yanique Booth in the 100m and 100m hurdles were among the highlights for FAU athletes at the Golden Knight Twilight meet hosted by UCF on Saturday evening. Booth set a stadium and school record in the 100m hurdles, winning the event in an NCAA regional qualifying time of 13.55 seconds, and finished second in the 100m in a wind-aided time of 11.81 seconds. Booth will join Marilyn Stephens, Malika Clary and both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams at the NCAA East Regional in New York in late May.
Booth's winning time in the 100m hurdles destroyed the previous school record by more than half a second and if the Jamaican native runs a similar time at regionals, it could earn her a spot in the event finals.
Other top three finishes Saturday came from Stephens, who won the 400m in a time of 55.59 seconds, sophomore Lindsay Glover, who finished third in the 400m hurdles in 1:03.59 and the 4x100m (first, 46.49) and 4x400m (second, 3:53.87) relay teams
Next up for the Owls will be Saturday's FSU Twilight meet in Tallahassee.
