ORLANDO, FL - Highlighted by an eighth-place triple jump finish by Ashani Roberts, the Florida Atlantic track team had nine top-20 times and distances in the competitive UCF Invitational on Saturday.

Roberts jumped 12.41 meters to garner FAU's best finish of the day. Another Owl, Tatiana David, ranked 16th in that event (11.75 meters).

The women's 4x400 meter relay finished just a second-plus out of the top 10. The team of Danielle Aromashodu, Annakay Dennis, Anna-Lisa Myers and Lauren Walton combined to cross the line in 3:49.85, good enough for 11th place.

Other top-20 finishes included two each in two different events.

In the 1500 meter run, Deanna Loafman was 13th (4:50.85) and Stacy Paton 15th (4:54.43). In the 100 meter hurdles, Walton finished 15th (14.66) and Tatiana David 18th (15.13).

Annakay Dennis garnered a 17th-place finish in the 400-meter dash, at 56.51.

The men added a 20th-place finish in a long-distance event. Junior Ryan Davis finished the 1,500 meter run at 4:18.64.

Also, while running unattached, freshman Michael Vidal set a new men's record in the 800 meter run, at 1:54.73. That earned him 13th place in the event.
