BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted four teams for the FAU Fun Invite on Wednesday afternoon at the FAU Aquatics Center.
An overall score was not kept, instead the meet served as an opportunity for the teams to compete against quality opponents while having fun and socializing with other teams. Old Dominion, Denver, Wittenberg and the North Texas women's team all took part in the meet.
The women's swimming team claimed 11 top-five finishes on Tuesday. Miranda Fellowes won first in the 50 backstroke event with a time of 27.26.
Lauren Beyer claimed the top spot in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events.
The men's swimming team came away with 13 top-five finishes overall. Reilly MaGuire, Phillip Crouch, Sean Arrington and Cole Wisecarver spearheaded the 100 yard medley relay, claiming first with a time of 43.25. Maguire also had an individual first place finish. He came out on top in the 50 yard backstroke with a 24.61 time.
