BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed against FIU and Indian River State College on Saturday. FAU honored its six graduating seniors, in their final "home" meet, three of whom were among the meet's eight first-place finishers.
Top finishers the Owls will say goodbye to are Eszter Bucz, Eric Williams, and Alan Forbes. Bucz took first-place finishes in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.68) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.13). Williams finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a final time of 20:89. Forbes also took a win for the Owls in the 200-yard IM (1:58.97).
Anett Kovacs and Agnes Bucz also captured wins for FAU in the 1000-yard free (10:23.53) and 100 yard free (52.78) respectively. Ryan McIntyre and Tyler Aycock finished first among the divers. McIntyre scored 307.80 in the 1-meter dive and Aycock won the 3-meter dive with a 300.90.
The Owls had 58 top-five finishes overall. FAU travels to Daytona on Saturday, February 2 to compete against Daytona Beach State College before heading to Orlando for the three-day long All Star Meet, February 8-10.
