As a Junior (’02-’03): Part of the 400 and 800 free relay teams that broke school records at the NIC Championships…swam a season-best 1:55.35 in the 200 free for a seventh place finish at the NIC Championships.
As a Sophomore (’01-’02): Competed in the finals of the 100 and 200-yard freestyle at the NIC Championships…took first in the 100 freestyle (54.35) in FAU’s win over Syracuse.
As a Freshman (’00-’02): Was injured most of the season but was a finalist at the National Independent Conference meet.
High School: Attended Lake Mary High School where she earned ’99-’00 All-Conference honors and placed 6th in the freestyle at State…two-sport athlete: swimming and water polo…a member of the National Honor Society.
Other: A member of the Highlander Aquatics Swim Team…USS Florida Swim record holder in the 200 free relay.
Personal: Ocean Engineering major…born August 8, 1982 in Patchauge, NY…daughter of Quentin and Margaret Beitel…older sister, Sarah, was a four-time letter winner for FAU swimming…sister Claudia is a member of the FAU cross country and track teams.
