Florida Atlantic University's Marlon Dechausay has been selected as one of Palm Beach County's top black educators by Legacy Palm Beach.

Dechausay joined Florida Atlantic University in June of 2013 as the director of the Student-Athlete Center for Academic Excellence and Associate Athletics Director. The Student Athlete Center for Academic Excellence is responsible for the academic matriculation of nearly 500 student-athletes and 21 teams.

Dechausy has served in collegiate academics for over a decade and developed leadership programs specifically targeted at student-athletes. He is also a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics. Legacy Palm Beach is a bi-monthly publication created by Mia Media & Communications group, and distributed by the Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel.
