Rod Payne- Co-Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Rod Payne was named the head strength and conditioning coach in January 2010 after serving as an FAU defensive line coach for nearly a year.

He brings an extensive background in NFL draft preparation and training professional athletes to the Owls.

Before joining FAU, Payne served as the Westminster Academy head coach where he was honored as the Broward County Coach of the Year.

The Miami native was an All-American center and team MVP for the University of Michigan Wolverines, while earning a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.

 
Brian Remington- Co-Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

In January 2011, Remington was promoted from Assistant to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football and maintains his responsibilities for Men's and Women's Basketball.


Remington is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC) and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).


Florida Atlantic University's athletic department hired Brian Remington as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in July of 2008 to assist with Football and be responsible for Men's Basketball and Women's Soccer. Carson Randall- Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

After graduating from Florida Atlantic University in the fall of 2010 with a Bachelors degree in exercise science & health promotion, Carson Randall was added to the FAU athletics strength and condition staff as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach.

Randall is currently in the graduate program at FAU which he will receive his Masters in strength and conditioning this fall. Before, coming to FAU for undergrad Randall served four years in the United States Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008.

Randall is working with the football and volleyball programs and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
