Assist. AD for Football Operations


Sean Todd joined Florida Atlantic's football staff prior to the inaugural season and has been instrumental in handling the football operations ever since. Originally hired as Coordinator of Football Operations in June of 2001, Todd was promoted to Assistant Director in the spring of 2005, and Assistant AD for Football Operations in the summer of 2010.

Todd's duties include assisting head coach Howard Schnellenberger with the day-to-day operations of the football program, team travel, football event management and all football related special events. In addition, Todd assists administratively with academics, compliance, recruiting, scheduling and serves as FAU's pro liaison

Prior to Florida Atlantic, Todd worked in the operations department with the Miami Dolphins under Don Shula, Jimmy Johnson and Dave Wannstedt. While with the Dolphins, he was responsible for team travel, coordination of training camp and facility functionality.

During his tenure, Todd was instrumental in the development of the league-wide Travel Coordinators' Survey and the now formally recognized travel coordinator's group who meet annually in conjunction with the NFL Owners' Meetings.

Todd began his career with the Dolphins as an intern while earning his Master of Science degree in sports administration from St. Thomas University (May '96) in Miami Gardens, FL. While at STU, he also gained experience with the Florida Marlins, Florida Panthers, the University of Miami and with Super Bowl XXIX.

Before relocating to South Florida in February of 1994, Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts from Salisbury University (December '93) in Salisbury, MD.

Originally from Georgetown, DE, Todd attended Sussex Central High School and is married to the former Laura Courtley who is director of athletics at St. Thomas University. They reside in Sunrise, FL and have one daughter, Sidney, born August 20, 2005.
