Jared joined the FAU Athletics staff in August of 2009 as the Assistant Director of Media Relations and Web Development.
His primary responsibilities include the daily administration of the Owls' Athletics web site, fausports.com. Those duties include overall site maintenance and weekly production of coach's shows and video content to the FAUSports.TV platform.
In addition, Jared will also serve as the primary media contact for men's soccer, women's basketball and baseball. He will also be the radio play-by-play voice for women's basketball and baseball.
Prior to joining the FAU staff, Jared served for one season as the broadcast and media relations assistant for the Trenton Thunder Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the New York Yankees. During his time in Trenton, Jared called over 80 minor league baseball games on the radio and was the primary liaison between the team and the media.
The former Penn State alum also spent time as an athletic assistant at Richard Stockton College, a Division III school located in Pomona, NJ. At Richard Stockton, Jared served as the public address announcer for home soccer and basketball games and assisted with weekly feature storiesand game reporting on Stockton's athletics website.
Jared began his career in broadcasting as an intern for the ESPN Radio affiliate in Atlantic City, NJ back in the summer of 2008. The New York City native graduated from Penn State University in May 2008 with a bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism. During his time in Happy Valley he spent three years working for an on-campus internet radio station and broadcasted over 100 athletic events including football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball and ice hockey.
