Philip Anderson joined Florida Atlantic University in August 2016 as an assistant athletic director with a specific focus on business and ticket operations.
Anderson comes to FAU from East Tennessee State University where he served as the associate athletic director for finance (August 2010-2016). Anderson assisted with the generation, preparation and oversight of a $20 million budget for the Bucs. He held that position the last six years and was elevated to associate athletic director after serving two years as ETSU's assistant athletic director for business operations (July 2008-August 2010). Anderson's first position with the ETSU business office was as the director of business operations, a position he held for just one year prior to being promoted (September 2007-July 2008). In that role, Anderson was responsible for the day-to-day operations within the department. He began his career with the Bucs as a ticket manager, a position he served in from September 2005-07.
Prior to ETSU, Anderson worked one year at the University of Miami where he was a ticket sales representative and was responsible for season ticket sales for football, basketball and baseball. He organized the gameday staff and devised the outreach program with the community in an effort to promote each team and their events.
Prior to beginning his collegiate professional career, the Miami, Fla. native played four seasons of professional baseball with the Anaheim Angels and independent baseball in the Frontier League. He played two seasons of collegiate baseball at Bowling Green State University where he earned a Business Administration degree as well as his master's degree in Sports Administration.
Anderson resides in West Palm Beach, Fla.
