Michael LaRocco joined Florida Atlantic University's staff in September 2009 with the goal of assisting the Director of Athletics in day-to-day activities while growing the Owl Club booster organization.

LaRocco provides the daily contact with boosters and organizes and manages the athletic department's sky boxes at both football and basketball. This provides an excellent opportunity to cultivate and develop new donors and relationships with the FAU community.

Prior to FAU, LaRocco served as the Outside Sales Account Executive for the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Shock and the DTE Energy Music Theatre (October 2006-May 2009). The Findlay, Ohio native also gained valuable experience as a Brand Marketing Intern for Marathon Petroleum Company (January-May 2006, a Promotions Assistant for the University of Findlay (August 2005-January 2006)where he also worked as a Public Relations and Advertising Research Intern (May-August 2005).

LaRocco earned his master's of Business administration from the University of Findlay in 2006. He received his undergraduate degree in Communications from Jacksonville University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005. While at JU, LaRocco was voted 2004-05 Communication Student of the Year by the faculty and staff and he headed the business operations for JU's student newspaper.

LaRocco has also been heavily involved with organizations such as Doug's Kids and Champion Health that mentor youth through athletics.
