Prior to returning to FAU, Fraysure spent four years at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. At the time of his departure, he was the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, men's and women’s basketball, and men's and women's golf.

In his time at NSU, he also served as the contact for baseball, men's and women's swimming and diving, women's tennis and volleyball. He was the Athletic Department's primary editor and served as broadcaster for women's basketball.

Fraysure served as Media Relations Assistant at FAU from December of 2011 until November 2012. He was the contact for men's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's golf, and men’s and women’s cross country and women’s track. He was also the secondary contact for football, and had daily responsibilities on the university's website and with FAU’s social media.

Before beginning work in the sports information field, Fraysure had seven years of background in the media. At WFTM radio in Maysville, Kentucky, he announced high school basketball, football, baseball and softball games. His experience included broadcasting games at the annual KHSAA Boys' Sweet Sixteen state championship basketball tournament held at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

Prior to that, Fraysure was Sports Editor at the Ledger Independent daily newspaper, also located in Maysville, overseeing a department that covered 26 teams in two states. In addition, his writing experience included contributing to the annual Cats' Pause Basketball Yearbook, previewing boys’ and girls’ high school basketball in the Northern Kentucky area.

A native of Maysville, Fraysure earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism, with an emphasis on broadcast, from the University of Kentucky in June of 2002. He and his wife, Meredith, have been married for 12 years, and they have one daughter, Gracy, who is nine. The family lives in Parkland, Florida.
