FAU is what brought the Evansville, Indiana native to Florida. After graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor of science in teaching in 1998, Daniel joined the FAU women's basketball staff as an administrative assistant, a position she served from 1999-00. She left FAU for a brief time, but not the area, while she obtained her Master's degree in sport and athletic administration from Lynn University. While there, she was part of a coaching staff that led the Knights to their first NCAA Softball Regional Tournament.
Upon her return to FAU in 2003, Daniel served as the director of event management and facility operations.
