David Case was named director of equipment operations at FAU just prior to the 2011 spring drills. He assumed the oversight of a program that features 18 intercollegiate sports as well as cheer and dance.
Previously, Case was at Baylor University where he was the assistant equipment manager for football from 2007-2011. He was responsible for the coordination of the visiting locker room, supervision of student managers, as well as helped with the budget and ordering of football equipment, amongst many other tasks.
Case began his career as the visiting clubhouse manager with the Carolina Mudcats Minor League Baseball team in 2003. After the Mudcats, Case was able to gain experience with the World Baseball Classic, the Mississippi Braves Minor League Baseball team and work for the University of Central Florida as an equipment manager intern.
Case earned his bachelor's degree in mass communications from North Carolina State University in 2004.
