Aaron Stang joined the Student-Athlete Center for Academic Excellence staff as an Athletic Academic Counselor in June 2013. He is responsible for providing academic support and monitoring academic progress for student-athletes in indoor volleyball, sand volleyball, men's and women's cross country, and women's track. He also serves as the co-coordinator for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to joining the SACAE, Stang worked as the Athletic Academic Advising Intern for the University of Miami. As an intern, his responsibilities included tracking the academic progress of the women's golf and swimming & diving teams, as well as working with individual student-athletes on the football team.
For the 2011-12 academic year, he was an Academic Advising Intern at FAU, serving as a mentor for a diverse group of student-athletes as well as advising football student-athletes.
Stang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, where he was also a member of the men's basketball team from 2006-10. He also earned his Master's degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland in December 2011.
