Florida Atlantic University Athletics will induct its fourth class into the Athletic Department's Hall of Fame on Friday, October 30 at 5 p.m. at FAU's Marlene & Harold Forkas Alumni Center.
The 2009 class includes: quarterback Jared Allen; soccer standout Rhonda Jones; linebacker Chris Laskowski; and multi-sport athlete Sherri Pla. The class will join the previous 18 individuals inducted to continue the tradition of honoring the most outstanding individuals to represent FAU athletics.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will kick-off the weekend's Homecoming athletics events which also features a men's soccer conference match on October 30 at 7 p.m. versus the University of Buffalo. The FAU baseball and swimming teams will host their annual alumni weekend and also will compete against their alumni on Saturday, October 31 at 10 a.m. before going to the FAU Homecoming football game versus Middle Tennessee State University at 4 p.m. at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The Hall of Fame class also will be recognized at halftime.
